§ 1. DEFINITION
Film Sound Sweden, FSS, is a co-operation of people active within the field of production of sound for Motion Picture, Television and allied media. It is a non-profit association based in Stockholm, Sweden
§ 2. PURPOSE AND GOALS
The Association aims are
to support the development of film and TV sound both technically and artistically,
to strive for increased awareness of the meaning of sound within the art of Motion Picture,
to support the exchange of personal and professional experiences between the members and thereby supporting each other in our professional development,
to participate in the process of achieving justified attention and appreciation for the profession within the film sound field,
to care for the members' working conditions,
to arrange film shows, discussions and seminars, thereby advancing professional development,
to work for a good co-operation between other professions within our industry,
to work for international contacts within the profession.
§ 3. MEMBERSHIP
Membership can be applied for by professionals, active within the field of film, tv and video sound in Sweden. Membership may be approved for those who have been a professional for at least 3 years, under condition that she/he can be recommended by at least two members.
All applications will be considered by the board, and must be a approved by the board.
